Guided
Backup vehicle, marshal, mechanic, permit help, stays, breakfast and dinner. Fixed dates if you want to join strangers who had the same idea. Or a private group, with the room and the meals adjusted.
Spiti, from a Shimla yard
Bike tours, winter expeditions, and full circuits. From Shimla, Manali, Chandigarh — or Delhi, if the mountain part should start after a night bus. Guided, or just the keys.
Three ways into the same valley
Bike tours
Kinnaur first, so the altitude arrives in steps. Kaza when you’re ready for it. Manali after the pass, not before.
Winter expeditions
Same valley, shorter days, a taller car. Kaza in the quiet months, and home on the Kinnaur road. No pretend Chandratal.
Circuits
Loops that finish where they started — Chandigarh, Manali, or Shimla — including the green way over Jalori.
Start here
Delhi is a night bus or a flight. After that, the days are the same as the hill city the route actually starts in.
Where the bikes start
From Delhi, add an overnight Volvo or a flight and taxi to Shimla, Manali, or Chandigarh. After that, the days are the same as the route you picked. The price builder shows the bus as its own line, so it doesn’t hide inside the tour.
Guided, or the keys
Backup vehicle, marshal, mechanic, permit help, stays, breakfast and dinner. Fixed dates if you want to join strangers who had the same idea. Or a private group, with the room and the meals adjusted.
A checked Himalayan, Classic, Meteor, or a car, from the Shimla yard. You handle beds, food, fuel, and the pace. We will not quietly turn this into a tour. See the rental desk.
Fill in Shimla or Manali, again at Kaza, and wherever we tell you in between. There are stretches with no pump and no romance in pushing.
There are hours with no signal. The backup knows that. Your group chat does not. On a guided ride, that’s our problem. On your own, it’s yours.
Kaza sits near 3,650 m. Kunzum is higher. A headache on day two is information. We build nights in before the pass when the plan is long enough to allow it.
Same monasteries, shorter days, ice in the shade, Kunzum closed. It is beautiful and it is not a discounted summer. The car gets taller. The bike gets a more experienced rider.
Where we meet
Bikes and cars are handed over here, not in a hotel porch. Papers, a short brief, then the road.
For plans that start on the Lahaul side. We say so before you book the night bus.
A highway morning, then the hills. Useful when both ends of the trip should be the same city.
An overnight Volvo or a flight. The ride starts in the hills. Delhi is the bus, not another valley.
Because a Spiti week is not a hotel night. We read the plan, check the road and the bikes, then tell you the real number. A token — usually 30% — is collected by UPI or transfer after that, not on this page. You should be able to ask a question before money moves.
Guided means our marshal, mechanic, backup, stays, and the permits paperwork. A fixed date is that same ride, leaving on a published morning so a solo guest can join other people. Independent means we hand you a checked bike or car in Shimla. You handle the beds, the food, and the pace. Roadside assistance can be added. It is not a disguised tour.
Yes. The mountain plan doesn’t change. You add an overnight Volvo, or a flight plus a taxi, to Shimla, Manali, or Chandigarh — whichever city that route actually starts from. The Volvo pair is in the estimate. Flights stay yours to book, because prices move around more than the pass does.
Count on it from June through September, treat May and October as a conversation, and assume it is shut from November to April. Winter trips stay on the Kinnaur road and return the way they came. We will not sell you Chandratal in January.
Indian guests usually need nothing dramatic for the main Spiti circuit, and where a check-post wants a paper we already know the drill. Foreign guests need the protected-area formalities sorted before the trip, not at Nako. Tell us your passport country when you enquire.
On a guided summer plan, on a 350 or a Himalayan, with the Shimla-side start — yes, if you already ride a motorcycle on the highway and you have a permanent gear licence. Not as your first fortnight on two wheels. In winter, first-timers sit in a car. We are happy to say no. It’s cheaper than a rescue.
